About Lindsay D. Camandona
Lindsay Camandona’s South Sound roots run deep. So does her fascination
with the law.
The fifth-generation Tacoma native recalls as a youngster “watching
Perry Mason and a host of other TV court shows,” and regularly being
counseled by family and friends that she was certain to become a lawyer.
Lindsay carried those affirmations with her through college and law school,
after which she joined a small general practice in Tacoma. It was there,
she said, that she came to recognize—and appreciate—those
all-important fundamentals of effective lawyering.
"I learned early that a lawyer’s most prized professional asset is credibility—and credibility is earned. For me, it results from serving as a zealous client advocate at all times and in all circumstances, being flawlessly organized and well-prepared, and staying current on case law and the ever-changing body of legal rules."
Beyond these attributes, Lindsay cites empathy, “a certain level of objectivity,” and the ability to relate to a wide variety of people as indispensable elements of effective family law practice. Feedback from clients suggests she possesses all these qualities—and then some.
“Lindsay is cheerful and warm, professional and ethical, and conducts herself with grace, dignity, and good humor,” said one client recently. “She is competent, efficient, and produces high-quality work. In the courtroom, she is absolutely relentless, but in a polite and professional way.”
High praise indeed for this talented and tenacious lawyer who insists that, above all else, she has a professional obligation to be candid and truthful in her dealings with clients.
"I try to bring an element of realism to the table,” Lindsay explains. “The foundation of my relationship with every person I represent is mutual respect. And that begins with total honesty."
This approach to practice has served this lawyer exceptionally well. Also serving her well, contends the mother of two young children, is her affiliation with McKinley Irvin, which dates back to 2011.
"I work alongside a highly gifted group of attorneys whose expertise I can tap 24/7. There is great teamwork here,” she notes. “We work together willingly—without question and without skipping a beat."
