Liz Michelson Named 2017 Family Law "Lawyer of the Year"

We are proud to announce that Best Lawyers® has named Liz Michelson the 2017 “Lawyer of the Year” for Family Law in the Seattle metro area.

Best Lawyers selects only one “Lawyer of the Year” for each practice area and geographic location. The attorney chosen presented with the highest overall peer reviews.

While this is her first time as the recipient of “Lawyer of the Year,” Liz has been recognized annually by the Best Lawyers for the past 18 years. She has practiced family law in Snohomish County since 1980 and is widely regarded by her peers and her clients as one of the area’s top family law attorneys. She is also a longtime Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML).

Liz is the third attorney at McKinley Irvin to have been recognized as a Family Law Lawyer of the Year, following Marc Christianson in 2015 and Gordon Wilcox in 2012. Only 19 attorneys in all of Washington State were named to the Best Lawyers list in 2017 for Family Law, and 6 of those 19 are McKinley Irvin attorneys.
