McKinley Irvin Hires Associate For Portland Office
PORTLAND — McKinley Irvin, one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest law firms focused exclusively on divorce and family law, has added Annelisa Smith as an associate in its Portland, Ore., office.
Smith brings litigation experience in domestic relations, juvenile dependency and paternity issues to McKinley Irvin. She reports to veteran attorney and international family law expert Kathy Root, the partner-in-charge of the Portland office. Earlier this year, Root teamed up with McKinley Irvin and opened the Portland office to better serve the firm’s Oregon clients with a downtown location.
“We are excited by the potential Annelisa possesses as an associate,” said Root. “Her charisma, intelligence and ability to perform in an often emotionally-charged environment makes Smith a tremendous advocate for our Oregon clients. We look forward to seeing her family law career continue to grow at McKinley Irvin.”
Smith received her master’s degree and law degree from the University of Vermont, where she was a dean’s fellow. She completed her undergraduate degree at Oregon State University.
